design consultation

Every project begins here.A focused, in-home session to study your space, understand your goals, and uncover the opportunities your home is waiting for.

a focused study of your home

A design consultation is a focused, in-home session where we study your space together how rooms are currently used, how light moves through the home, and where layout or materials may be creating friction rather than ease.

This is not a sales call. It is a careful, unhurried observation of your home and a conversation about what is possible.

what happens during a consultation

We visit your home in person and walk through each space with fresh eyes. We observe how circulation flows between rooms, where natural light is strong and where it falls short, how materials and surfaces interact with the space, and which areas feel settled versus unsettled.

We then discuss opportunities from small, focused adjustments to larger design interventions and explore how thoughtful changes could bring greater clarity, comfort, and ease to your environment.

What You Walk Away With

A clear understanding of your home's strengths and friction points, the things that are working and the things that aren't.

Initial design recommendations tailored to your space, your goals, and how you actually live in your home.

A sense of whether a larger design project is the right path forward, or whether the consultation itself provides the guidance you need.

FAQ

  • Typically 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of the home and complexity of the space.

  • No formal preparation is needed. Simply live in your home as you normally do. The more natural the environment, the better we can observe how the space functions in real life.

  • We strongly recommend an in-person consultation for the first visit. Light, materials, and spatial flow need to be experienced in person to be properly understood. Virtual follow-up sessions are available for subsequent meetings.

  • That is perfectly fine. The consultation is designed to be valuable on its own. Many homeowners use the insights to guide their own decisions independently.

  • We offer in-home design consultations throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
